I have a Technics SL-2000 turntable that only plays out of one channel. I have checked for loose wires and any other obvious things you can see.

Any thoughts?

Have you reversed the signal cables at the input of the amp to see if the problem is indeed with the turntable ? Have you checked the wires going to the pins of the cartridge ? Reverse those to see if one channel of the cartridge is dead.
