howdy,
Anyone have any experience with chimney top dampers??
Is one style any better than the other. Some have the top that springs up when released. Another style has the hinged lid.
Easy to install?
Will the heat keep birds and critters away while the dampers open?

Thanks

wingnut,

What I have provided will answer your questions. Depending on what you get, you can attach cap over the damper.

I have found that a chimney cap with a bird guard on it works best. If your inside damper is still working good;) ED
