we are replacing our kitchen windows with wood not vinyl replacement.....1 contractor will insulate with foam and the other will insulate with fiberglass....any pros /cons on both materials...both estimates are in the same ball park......

As long as the foam is a non-expanding type, you'll be fine. And as long as the contractor installing the fiberglass doesn't CRAM it into the opening, you'll be fine.
Done correctly, EITHER one will work. But an EXPANDING foam will probably void the warranty on the windows. And CRAMMING fiberglass into the void will reduce it's ability to insulate. (Fiberglass needs it's "fluff" to work properly.)
