We've recently moved into a 28 year old home. A prior owner added an addition off the living room and while the addition was well done, it left the living room "in the dark". There are no windows directly into the lr - it gets a little bit of natural light from the adjoining rooms, but no where near enough for me.
Would you recommend installing solar tubes? Any suggestions? We get lots of hail, but no snow here - is that a factor?
Thank you!!!

A couple of solar tube skylites should work just fine for you. They come is several sizes. What size you need will be determined by the size and shape of the room, and their placement. Your retailer can assist you with that.
