I am having a home built and my master bedroom is 17 1/2 x 16 1/2 and they are installing two air vents in this room.
Is that enough for a room this size?
I have searched the internet high and low and cannot find ANY info on how many vents per room/ft2/ft3 are required. Very frustrated!
Thanks

Tom,
I'm no HVAC expert by any means, but if a pro is installing the system and it is adequate for your home, then two supply vents should be adequate for this room, I believe. Good Luck!

make sure you have two supply air vents and at least one return air vent if not a double return also the amount / placement of the supply grills has a lot to do with the heat loss of the room. Is there a lot of glass and if so is it a qaulity thermopane? Generally we try to place the supply air on the outside wall near or under the windows or patio door and place the return air on the inside wall
Hope this helps.
Good Luck

Two supply vents and a return vent should be adequate. In my new home, HVAC contractor needed to come back and redirect air flow from trunk to rooms that seemed to not be heating/cooling adequately.
