Where do I begin...well, I'll start by admitting that I have no plumbing experience, so I'm guessing the answer I'm going to get is: call a plumber. But I thought I'd try anyway.
I have a dishwasher that I am trying to finish installing. I have everything in place, but I can't figure out how to connect the supply line for the DW (3/8in stainless steel braided line) to the qest plumbing system in my house.
I've seen that qest tubing has been pulled off the market years ago, but what do I do with what I have? The lawsuit says it will be replaced for free, but only if it starts leaking, which it hasn't yet. So I guess I'm stuck with it for now.
The hot water supply has a t-connection off the faucet line, which is is connected to a 6 in. length of qest pipe, which is connected to a shut-off valve. The qest pipe is held onto the t-connection and the shut-off valve using copper rings that are clamped on. So, the male end of the shut-off valve (1/4 in) is what I'm trying to connect the DW line to(which is 3/8). I tried buying a 3/8 to 1/4 in. compression connector, but the connector won't screw onto the shut-off valve because it(male end of shut-off) isn't threaded (it has rings around it, but it isn't a thread if you know what I mean). Any ideas? I can replace the shutoff valve if needed, but how do I get one to connect to the qest pipe?
I'm sorry if I'm not explaining this well. Like I said, I'm no plumber, but I like to try doing things myself. If anyone needs clarification, I'll do my best to descbribe the setup. Thanks in advance.

Get what is called a compression coupling, find this and many other sizes and fitting at a Home Depot or elsewhere, go and get what ever you need as far as size goes, to allow you to get down to the 3/8 connection, once you have the parts, cut off the old shut off and attach the new fitting, they will assist you on what it will take to do this setup.

There are dual outlet stop valves with 3/8" outlets. Look for one of these little guys at any decent hardware store / big box place.
Once you see this, see if you get an idea or 2...
