The A/C motor inside just hums. Do I need a new motor or something else(capacitor)? If I spin the motor a little myself(carefully) it will kick on. But when I shut it off it will not turn back on. I have to wait about two hours. However the Temperature will not drop below 84 degrees(when set at 70). Where do I find the Horsepower on the fan? It is a General Electric gas fired forced air furnace & air conditioner.

Volts -115
Amps -less than 12

Thank you in advance!

Barring something weird, you should only need a capacitor for the fan motor. The fact that it runs with a push start is a pretty encouraging sign.
Don't let it try to run without the cap, that _will_ kill it.
