Is it dripping constantly, or only after or when it is used?
Constantly = Water supply pipe or faucet leak.
Use only = Drain or drain pipe.

Since the leak only occurs when the shower is being used, it may be a leak in the riser from the tub valve to the shower head, at the elbow where the shower arm connects to that riser. It's also possible that water is getting behind the escushions of the valve. If possible, you may have to open up the wall behind the tub so that you can see the valve and riser to determine exactly where the leak is occuring. This will give you the access needed to fix it.

And it also possibly could be a leak around the drain (caused by the weight of a person standing in the shower) due to the failure of the plumber's putty under the lip of the drain.

Mike,
Not saying that it can't happen, but let hfdordi rule out the most likely causes first. ;-)
Woodbutcher, ditto! ;-))
And hfdordi, between Old Guy, Woodbutcher and myself, I THINK we have pretty much covered all of the poosibilities as to where thewater came be coming from -- unless Ron, or Steve, or Brain, or ... come in here with something that we may have overlooked!!
