June 1st I had a new inside AC/Furnace installed. July 13 outside AC unit gave up the goast even tho it is only 6 years old.The person who gave me an estimate to install the new unit said the reason it quit is because the low side wire was connected directly to the compressor. Is this type connection right or wrong? I undersand the outside unit should be on an exclusive 220 volt line the inside unit on a 110 V line. and the two units are connected to each other through the low voltage thermostat and a transformer.HELP THANKS
