We poured a 10"X15ft concrete patio on Sunday 10/6/03. In one of the corners we had our three children carefully make handprints right under my husbands and mine. Under that I wrote our name and the date. We were so proud.

However, Monday morning I let my 1 year old Lab outside thinking it would be alright because I was able to walk on it without making any marks. I let him back in a few minutes later and noticed that he had scratched my husbands and my handprints completely off and half of our last name. I tried to repair the damage, but it was to late. I am so upset! Our home is only 1 year old and we plan on living here for many years to come. Is there any way to fix this mishap? Could we maybe pour over our prints and do it again? Please help!

Mommy desperate for family keepsake!

Pouring over the existing isn't going to work. The easiest solution would be to figure out where it would fit best and pour another small pad (maybe 2' X 3' or something in that order) and put you names and hand prints in that. The barricade it off so the dog can't get to it for a week or so.
