Hi. We are adding a drop-in jetted, hot tub in our new bathroom. The tub is a standard size, 5' long by 32" wide and will fit into an alcove area in our room, that is just about 62 1/2 inches wide. I would like to build a 4-6 inch rim on the long sides of the tub. You know, to have a little room to place things on.
The mfgr. of the tub (Kohler) includes "rough-in" instructions for the plumbing, but does not include the carpentry part. Are there any websites or instructions that would include the directions for building a frame for the tub to sit in?
Another question, the tub has no flange on it. So, do we do the finish tile work on the frame and wall BEFORE we set the tub into the frame, or afterwards?
Thanks in advance for any advice! :)
