I just moved into a place with radiators, and I have no idea how to work them. Please help!
Specifically, I have these questions:
1. The small, pointed silver valve on one end is shooting out air when I turn the radiators on--is this normal? or does it signal a possible leak?
2. One of my radiators is not flush with the ground and seems a little loose since they redid our floors--can I just tighten it?
3. What are the warning signs for possible leaks? I would hate to ruin our new floors!
4. Is it true that I should either turn the radiator all the way on or all the way off, avoiding the middle?
Thanks for any help you can give...I'm really lost.
