Certain rooms in my house don't get enough air flow through the vents to cool the room but others cool fine. I've tried closing some of the ones that do get enough but it doesn't help. I've also noticed small deposits of something on the coils in the intake. Looks like dirt but its very hard and want come off easily. Also can the way the ducts are run cause this problem? If so help with how ducts should they be run. By the way the ducts are in the attic. Thanks for any help!

Hi:ctimgo

I suggest you enter the attic and check for a loose or disconnected duct or connection in a duct tubing going to the effected room/rooms.

Good idea is to have the fan on while checking for air leaks. Also take up there with you a scissors, a roll of ducting tape plus a flash light.

Tape up or seal up any air loss you find. Also check around the heaters plentium while up there.

Good Luck,
