I want to install some windows and a french door on my patio to make it a florida room. The patio is currently screened in and all I believe I need to do is frame for the windows and the door.
How difficult is it for someone with limited woodworking skills to frame in windows and a door? Or is that something which should be done professionally?

I assume since it's screened now, that this is roofed over patio.
As long as you understand how to header openings IF you have to remove any of the existing supports that hold the roof up, then framing door and window openings is not a hard job.
Go get a book on basic framing carpentry and it will guide you thru the process much better than anyone can do online.
If you have specific questions, come back :)
