Hi All, It took awhile to figure out how to start my first post, but I got it. Now, my question is can anyone tell me whether it is possible to lay concrete on concrete. I have a screened in porch with a poured concrete slab floor. Immediately outside the porch is my concrete pool deck. Obviously there are expansion/drainage channels built into the deck and at the entrance to the porch. I want to lay 1" thin pavers on the pool deck when I redo it further down the road. My dilemma is that I have already purchased 12x12 porcelain tile to tile the screened in porch but once tiled it will still not be high enough to maintain proper drainage when I raise the height of the pool deck. How do I raise the height of the concrete slab floor? Is there a reliable way to pour concrete on concrete to raise the height about 1 1/2" to 1 3/4"? I've been told you just can't do it without cracking concerns. How will this possibly effect the tile I'll be laying over it? Is there some better way to bring the height of the slab up?

Luigi,
First, welcome to DoItYourself.com. Glad you were able to figure out how to accomplish your first post.
I suggest that you copy your original post and move it to the bricks and concrete forum. The pros there have dealt with situations like this and will tell you how. But not too many of them seem to wander into this forum, for whatever reason.
I do a lot of things, including decks and patio covers, but I leave all of my concrete work to concrete pros.
