How do I fix a hole in a hollow core door. I know there are biscuits for this but I don't know how to use them.

Biscuits?

A hole in the door, like someone stuck a chair leg through it. Biscuits are oval pieces of plywood to repair the hole.

You will need something to reinforce the patch, but trace around the biscuit and cut into the surface with an X-acto knife to make a matched seat for the biscuit. You culd probably glue some biscuits underneath as a support and set the surface biscuits on them when the opening is cut. After the glue sets, sand smooth.
