Our home is heated by the Burnham Hot Water Boiler System. There are Radiators throughout our home, and it produces very
good heat. However, we are not familiar with all the settings,
for instance, the pressure gauge, the water gauge, etc. We did clean the burners of the dust, and they appear to be fine, but I'm concerned about these gauges, and priming procedures.

You dont say is the boiler running now? Do you have a auto water fill on it and it is on. How many stories or about how high is the top radiator. Have you bled it before?;) ED

to ed ,no the boiler is not on right now.and yes it does have a auto water refill on it . the unit is located in the basement, and the highest radiator is located on the 2nd fl. we have bled a couple of the radiators on the 2nd fl. but we have never bled them all at once. during the winter when the heat is in use we
sometimes hear a knock in the radiators.

Now you say the auto water fill is on . Ok 2 stories I d say about 18 psi should do it. Sometimes its off so you just have to make sure to bleed all of the bleeders and you get water out of all of them.Start at the bottom ones and work on up to the 2nd floor. the psi there has to be what ever it takes to get water out of the top bleeder. After running for a day or so you should go back and bleed it all again. The temp ,what works for you ,most about 180o.
You said priming procedures ,do you mean like an oil gun burner or what?????;) ED
