I want to hang some embossed heavy paper on the ceiling. I've done a lot of walls but this will be a new challenge. Any tips?:)

Prep and prime the ceiling.

Use a chalk line to snap a straight line for your starting point.

Slightly thin down some Heavy Duty Clear adhesive.

Roll out ceiling with thinned adhesive.

Set up walkboard or scaffolding or whatever you use to get up there.

Glue up 1 piece, book it accordian style.

Start hanging piece at one end, working it down the line as a helper or friend holds and unfolds the rest when you reach them.

Hope this helps.

Anything else, just ask.

If you can't have a helper, use a broom as a longer arm or the top of a ladder to support the end you aren't working with. You need to use a gentle touch when smoothing these wallpapers so as to not "smoosh down" the texture. For some of these papers, the booking time is critical. Allow each strip to soak the exact same amount of time before hanging, otherwise some strips will expand more than others creating a pattern miss-match that you will never be able to overcome.
