Last year I noticed that between my attached garage and house, I didn't have any insulation, just wall board. This year I started installing insulation. How close can I get insulation to a wall electrical box? Should I insulate all around it tightly?

Also, I haven't torn down the wall board on the other half of the garage on that wall. Is this a worthy project or just more work?

You want to get the insulation as tight as you can around the box that it where a lot of cold air filters through.on some of the new homes they even put spray foam around the boxes to seal up the gaps. But make sure that you don't get insulation in the box!! I recommend using the low expanding foam as well.
