Our downstairs bathroom has one of those grid ceilings with the panels that slide in and out. We would like to have some kind of fan in there for circulation when people shower (there is a window), but aren't sure what we can do because of the "false" ceiling. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Thank you!::)

I do not have a basement but have installed a couple of bathroom fans. They stay in place by a couple of screws in the side of the fan which works perfect if you had joists. I imagine above the ceiling you have are wood joists. I would simply build a little frame down with 2x4s from the joists and cut the ceiling tile to fit the fan. The exhaust to the fan must go outside without too many angles so that is another thing to consider.
