We recently (2 days ago) had outdoor carpet installed over cement board on our screened in porch. The problem is that every one of the seams from the cement boards underneath shows through on the carpet. My husband did the cement board and seams and we had a professional lay the carpet. Did we really screw up this job? I don't suspect there is much that can be done about it now, is there? Please...help if there is a solution to this problem! Mrs. "Otis"

What do you mean he "did the seams"? Were they filled and leveled with a Portland Cement based patching compound? How was the board nailed (how far apart, what kind of nails)? Why was cement board used?
What kind of carpet and backing? What adhesive was used? Was it rolled or pressed into the glue?
