I just purchased a home with hardwood flooring on the main level, except in the living room and dining room. I think the floor is red oak and needs sanded and refinished. I'm gearing up to install hardwood on the two mentioned areas. The idea of purchasing prefinished wood flooring really appeals to me but is there any way of duplicating the stain on the prestained wood onto the existing wood floor?
I suppose the safe way would be to purchase unfinished red oak flooring and sand and stain both old and new flooring.
Which way should I go with this?
Thanks,
Kent
