I've been working part time for a contractor, doing mostly house painting jobs, as well as getting jobs on my own. For my own jobs he lets me rent his power washer. I've been getting a lot more jobs on my own and am thinking about buying one. I've seen some reasonably priced ones from Karcher and Porter Cable with 5hp Honda motors and are 2500psi, 2.5gpm. Would this size be adequate, or will I need something bigger, like the 3000psi, 3gpm range, or their abouts.

If you think you may want to start your own business, save up and get a 11 or 13HP Honda powered, belt driven machine. It will outlast a lil direct drive pump 10 to 1.
