I am having the shower in my second bathroom replaced. I am looking at the Sterling Series 7210 Ensemble unit and the Lasco 1363-ST2P unit.
I'm wondering if there is any problem with either unit leaking? Does anyone have any experience with either unit (or with Sterling or Lasco in general)?
I have received a few quotes but most of the people I have talked to have never installed a shower unit like Stering or Lasco (they only work with tile).
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

Both are great products, I have installed sterling 2 pcs. & 3 pcs. tub/shower unit, my customers loved them.

My hubby & I just installed a Sterling shower base & 3 pc. surround unit approx. 2 weeks ago. We love it. It was easy to install, we attached directly to 2 X 4's. The only extra thing we had to do we install a few extra 2 X 4's as we have an older home.
Very study & light-weight unit. We plan to buy another one for our master bath.

In my fifteen years of plumbing...I have installed just about every unit made these days.
Lasco, Aquaglass, Aker, Sterling, to name a few.
You have to anchor them well, and I highly recommend a bed of mortar under every unit for stability and solidness.

Thank you for your comments. I have decided to go with the Sterling unit (I like the looks of it). I will speak with the installer regarding the bed for the shower pan to rest on.
