Well, I finally got the holes dug for my deck, and it's time to pour some concrete. I'm going to get a concrete truck in, since I need approx 1.7 cubic yds of concrete, which is around 65 80lb bags.

I would prefer to pour and level the piers, and then go back and mark where the post brackets are going to be, drill them and use concrete anchors, rather than sink J-bolts into the concrete before it sets. I think I would have a tough time getting the J-bolts lined up correctly, especially since the piers are on uneven grade.

Anybody see a problem with using anchors?

The foot brackets I'm using are Simpson 6x6.

Sound as if you have given yourself some good options to make the plan work.
