I am in need of purchasing new dual reclining sofa. I have a few concerns. 1) most of the fabric that I see is either chenille fabric or velvet fabric. Which wears better. 2) What if the cushions go flat? There does not seem to be a way to replace as in a cushions with zippers to replace the foam. Any suggestions. Thanks.

If you have the option of ordering fabric for your sofa it is in your best interest to do so. On most of the sample books provided by the seller, there normally is technical information at the end of the book. For the most part, wearability is defined by Surface Abrasion. Surface Abrasion is defined by how many double rub cycles a fabric can withstand before showing wear. 50,000+ double rubs is not too bad, however there are fabrics that due exceed 1,000,000. All fabrics and manufacters are different and will vary (sometimes greatly) even with the same fabric. Check the warranty, fillings also vary greatly. Some foams ARE better than others. The old saying "you get what you pay for" just make sure you ARE getting what you pay for.
