This post may work or not. The bulletin board has been down for several days, and has been losing things.

Cracks generally require repair in order to resolve. Sometimes heavily textured paint will hide hairline cracks on its own. Otherwise, the best repair is to use joint tape and joint compound to repair the crack.

Here is some help on repairing cracks in drywall.

Hope this helps.

Its not hard to repair the cracks. Are you sure its drywall and not plaster?

How big are the cracks? Where are the cracks? Do you know why the wall is cracked?

Repair can be as simple as a very thin coating of mud to needing to replace the drywall itself. I've seen examples of both.
