The short answer is "no." It puts the weep (drainage) holes in the wrong place to most efficiently shed water away from the window; it may even cause water to accumulate in the frame. Most manufacturers will not honor a warranty on a window installed that way.

And the LONG answer is NO -- for exactly the reasons that Lucky13 mentioned. If you want a diamond window, ORDER it as a diamond window.
