I" never replaced a window before. But after seeing the prices to have someone else do it, I decided to try it myself.
my problem again is I've never done it before. I've got a house that was built in 1946 with the original, I believe single hung single pained windows and I'd like to replace them with double hung windows from Home Depot.Where do I start and what steps do I need to take to start??? Thanks for everyones input!!!!

Describe your current window ( are they metal or wood ), what type wall ( stud wall or solid masonary ), what type mouldings on the inside, wall finish inside, wall finish outside.
