HOW DO YOU TELL IF ADOOR IS ARIGHTHAND OR A LEFTHAND ?

Stand on the side with the hinges ( generally that will be the "inside" as most residential doors are "inswing" doors if this is an exterior door). Face the door. If the doorknob is on your right hand side, this is a right hand door. If the doorknob ( or hole for it ) is on the left hand side, this is a left hand door.

Or, if you're like me, stand with your back to the hinges.
Whichever way the door swings is the "hand" that it is. LOL
