I was wondering if Andersen makes replacement double hung sash windows, and if they do is it a good idea to order them through Home Depot?

If you want to use your existing frames the answer is no. There is a good chance however, that one of their standard units will fit into your rough opening if you remove the existing frames. Years ago when I sold building supplies Anderson shunned the replacement sash concept. They were sticklers about airflow penetration as much as they were about their glass.
You might want to look into Marvin's tilt-pack replacement units. Their website is very detailed on options as well as a store locater and DIY installation instructions. No matter where you get them make sure the salesperson is knowlegable and do your homework too.

And I'll add, it's not a good idea to order much of ANYTHING thru a store like HomeDepot.
If you can walk in, get it off the shelf, and go thru the checkout, you have "fit" what they are looking for......if you special order, YOU better be dang knowledgable about what you are ordering, because most of the time they AIN'T.

Not that I disagree with Andy's statement about HD, but if you're going to buy an Anderson, and you know one of their stock sizes fits the hole it's going into, please consider HD as they give a whopping discout on Andersons (35%?)
Same deal with Lowe's and Pella. 30% less if you get it at Lowe's instead of the Pella store.
