I have used many cleaners without results to remove grey metal marks from plates that are stoneware, such as Ironstone dinnerware. I even purchased a Corelle dinnerware cleaner, it was some effective but not without much rubbing and it only dimmed the marks, did not completely remove them.

Clara,
Try Bar Keepers Friend cleanser. You'll find it in the cleaner section at some supermarkets and I know Wal-mart carries it. It's great stuff!!
