Our wooden sliding patio door is jammed. It seems to have come off of the track at the top rear (away from the handle) edge, yet I cannot see a track that it should attach to. How do these doors work and how can we fix it?

Dayle,

WELCOME to DoItYouself.com.

Sliding glass doors have a track at the bottom, and the top is simply a guide. I think your problem is probably a failed roller at the bottom.

Lift the sliding pane out of the bottom track and remove the roller. Take it to a glass shop and get a replacement.
