Hi, just want to get your thoughts as to my idea...I have a formal living area that we currently use as the dining area/home office. Our carpet is tan/brown, our walls are white. What if I paint all the walls taupe, then sponge paint off white on the two walls in the dining area, and leave the 2 walls of the office taupe? Will this look okay? I want it to look more as two rooms in one!

Sounds like a great idea to define two areas within one. You might also want to add a bit of a third color for additional interest and visual texture. Experiment on a big piece of cardboard until you master your technique and the effect you want to achieve.
