I am going to build a concrete slab off the back of our house to be a floor under a new deck (storage and such). I want to make sure I build correctly and need to create pitch for water run off. What resources can I use to make sure I am doing the right thing

When you get your permit, there will likely be information about the proper grade for drainage. Generally, you slope 1/4" per foot away from the house.
