We will begin work on a new bathroom in the next month. We have ripped out the old ceilings and have discovered that we will be able to create a vaulted ceiling in this room. The slanted part of the vault will go from the top of the walls to a height of about 12 feet. My question is regarding the best method for getting that drywall up there. We have sucessfully used a drywall lift for other flat ceilings we've done but have found that it hasn't been great for upper sections of walls. Would love advice on how to tackle this.

Unfortunately your experience has been with a lousey lift. With a good lift, panel lift brand or similar, 12 foot vaulted ceiling is a piece of cake. Don C.

There are two types of drywall jacks or lifts as some call them. One type will not work good at all. Probably the type you had.
The other type will work great. It is made for installing drywall on angled ceilings. it has a adjustment wheel on the side to set your angle. Most rental places may not have this type. You may have to call around.
