I am building a new garage and I need to know if I should put the vinyl over the sheathing directly, or should I use the extra felt that I already have left over from the roof? My neighbors garage was built with the siding directly over the sheathing. I know with some siding, such as stucco they always use felt or tyvec. I am now confused. Most do it yourself books do not give much detail on this.
