I need some suggestions on how I would go about installing metal tracking in a finished basement with carpet. I was wondering if there is a way that I can avoid removing and or cutting the carpet? Can you install the track directly on top of the carpet with concrete nails? I am attempting to turn a basement family room into two bedrooms. Any information would be helpful,thanks.
