I came up with this bright Idea to make a mosaic picture for my kitchen. Okay, I have this book that tells me how to make a mosaic splashback for my bathroom and thought it would work the same for a picture. I don't understand what some of the things are that I need... PVA (white) glue??? what is that? Elmers white glue??? The book says to get 1/2 in plywood and cut to size, brush on the PVA (white) glue, front and back, score it after it drys. Draw your pic on the plywood then use flexible, waterproof cement-based tile adhesive to glue down the broken tile.
My main question is what is PVA glue? I was also wondering if I could use glue gun glue to glue down tile instead of the cement-based tile adhesive, then grout with the tile adhesive? I have the tile adhesive already but thought it would be easier to use the glue gun so I can see my design better.
Any help would be wonderful:)
maybe someone has a better way of doing this.
thanks,

PVA white glue would be Elmer's glue.
