I would like to repaint a wall that has glossy paint and inconsistant texture (some areas have a lot of texturing and other places have none). I plan to use a mud dobber to even out the texture but should I prime the wall first so the mud will stick to it? Should I prime again after applying texture?

Hello,
You should wash your walls with TSP first. This will help the mud adhere to the surface. I've never had a problem with the mud sticking to the wall if I've done this, but some people would recommend going over the wall with a light sanding first.
Prime the wall, after applying the mud.
Good luck!
