I asked about this a few days ago and got no response. I hope it's okay to ask again. I really would love to get this project done this weekend.

I installed ceramic tile on an outside patio about 3 months ago and now I need to seal the grout. Some of the grout has a white "film" on it. I cleaned it with TSP (did not scrub, only mopped) and saw little to no improvement. I then cleaned with Muratic acid - scrubbed moderately - and again saw no improvement.

Any suggestions to get it back to the brown color it is supposed to be before I seal?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

If you used a modified grout, the white could be latex scum. Get an alkaline stripper from a paint store and try just a small out-of-the-way area.
