When using jbead, do you put the short edge facing out or the long edge?
Do I actually need to screw through the jbead?
How far onto the jbead do I put the joint compound?
I'm assuming when all is said and done, I just run caulk where the shower and jbead meet?
I appreciate the help.

the short side is on the outside. You don't put mud in the bead. Yes you caulk where the bead meets the stall but it adheres better if the bead is primed before caulking.
The bead will fit better if it is fitted on the 'but' edge of the drywall and not the tapered edge.
