13 Can anyone help me with faux painting? I have gotten confusing information. Some say that I need up to 3 different paints. Some say a flat latex, satin latex, and a gloss.
I have bought a dual roller. I need to know exactly what paints to use. If anyone one has suggestions, ideas, or advise... I open to all.:)

i bought a faux painting kit called The Woolie (from Home Depot), which is a roller divided into 2 sections, and it comes with a paint tray, also divided into 2 sections. the idea is that you put a different color on each side. i haven't used it yet, but it came with a video, which i watched. on the box, it shows about 8 different examples of results. they looked really great. they pretty much recommended using basically the same color but 3 or 4 shades apart. sometimes they used a color and white. and i think they recommend using Satin paint, although i can't imagine that it would matter. i think you'd want both paints to at least be the SAME kind of paint (not one a flat and one a glossy). if i were you, i'd go to Home Depot & just look at that box. then you can actually see what results from 2 different colors mottled together.

Hope that helps!
