I removed carpet from a bathroom. The padding remained stuck to the floor. I have scraped off the padding but I still have adhesive all over the ceramic tile. The tiles are small 1" squares and rectangles and they don't seem to be glossy like the wall tiles. I want to leave the tile as the finished product but don't know how to get the adhesive off. Is it possible to get the tile to look good or will I have to recover the floor with linoleum or something? Once I get the adhesive off will I need to do anything else to the tile (polish, seal, etc.)? This is my first house so I don't have much experience.

Have you tried adhesive remover?
