I am replacing a deck at my daughter house in CA and I am only in CA for a short time. The problem is her A/C compressor sit on the deck and I need to move it or have it moved. Can I disconnected the compressor myself and move it or will I need to get an A/C person out to do it.

Get a hvac tech to do it He will know how to pump it down and save what you have in freon. Then he will put it back vacuum the lines and coil also check the charge.
You have tobe EPA to do this. Also know what you are doing.;) ED
