I have at least 2 brokens duct in the house.
I can see a duct entering a space between kitchen floor and garage ceiling, I know that is making a 90 degrees turn here, and I feel no air going from the register. Moreover, unless I am closing the duct, the pressure in this part of the system is very low, so I belive that the duct is totally diconnected.

In another part of the house thre is a register with no air coming from here, and in general the air flow from the registers is very low. So, I belive there is another broken duct here.
My question is are there any way to locate where the duct is broken?
Does professional contractors have any way of repairing it without going though ceilings/floors, so is it worh hiring them?
Where to read about techniqes to repair inaccessible ductwork?

There is no magic that can repair a duct behind a wall.
After you are sure there is not a damper closed somewhere a saw is the tool to gain access.
I have seen where a diy'er has assembled round duct and held the joints together with duct tape. Maybe this is what happened to yours.

just because there is no air flow doesn't indicate a separated duct line ALTHOUGH it MIGHT be just that....but the simple explanation is the more likely! DIRT!
Namely a dirty air filter, The squirrel cage blower wheel has dirt built up in the cups...The motor is shot and running backwards, or lost it's RPM, a slipping belt if belt driven, .....Fiberglass filters were used and not changed often enough...result dirt has impacted on the face of the wet AC coil and no airflow is getting through....as to the coil cleaning,..An earlier post from a woman down south did the job herself and is worth reading if one of the moderators can point you in that direction...it's lengthy, but it was a great post.
