How would you paint a bedroom with a tray ceiling? In contrasting colors, or should the colors match? The room is basic white with a gray carpeting. I want to be more bold and warm in the bedroom.

Good for you! White walls just look like you haven't finished decorating the room. When you decide on your wall color, I think the nicest look is to use a little lighter version of the same color on the ceiling. I also enjoy "faux finishing" on the walls and then using a solid color that blends nicely for the ceiling.:)
