What is the best way / best screws, etc. to drill thru drywall and into a metal stud to hang stuff?

There is a drywall screw that is self tapping that will drill the metal studs. It is available in various lengths at the box stores. Metal studs aren't very strong. I would be careful hanging anything much heavier than a cup holder from one without reinforcement.
