Gas and Oil Home Heating Furnaces - inside fan not running except

OUr air conditioning unit was working fine and then the inside handler started clicking on and off periodically. We replaced the thermostat with a new digital...everything was fine for 2 weeks. Then the handler would shut off but the outside compressor would continue to run....until we would manually shut it off at the breaker box.
Now what is happening is the outsde compressor will shut off but the inide handler will continue (or not) to blow until it starts pushing out warm air. Now the compressor is tripping the inside breakers, but the handler is still running
We had freon put in about 1 month ago...any suggestions?? Poor Senior on limited income.......:-(

the problems you describe are wide ranging, covering several different circuits. get a tech out there to diagnose the problem

Thanks....hoping to get the area pinned down a bit more as to what it could be, but understand it sounds a bit complex...will get a tech out her on Monday....:-)

I just have to say this and I think most of the hvac tech here are with me. My AC didnt come on so I put a new "thermostat" on it and it worked for a while now it dont work what's wrong?

I dont recall selling that many tstat. Yes I have put new one's in.
The kids hit it. Got paint all over it. My husband messed around with it. I want the new kind with the time set back.

But when the furnace dont come on or the A/C dont cool the house anymore. Lets try and find out what dont work before we go out and buy a new thermostat. Ill bet it would cost less to call a tech in first and find out for sure what dont work. Than buy a tstat and then call a tech in cause it still dont work.
