got some quotes on fabricated granite countertops...just now picking myself off the floor....i knew i was in the wrong business...they just verified it.....

anyway, found a place that sells granite slabs with an edge for a half way reasonable price....is this something someone can pull off....i've laid slate and ceramic tile and read a little on granite...

i'm not a perfectionist, but i like things to look reasonably well...

do you guys feel like this is something a slightly above average person can pull off with reasonable results....

or would it be more practical to do it in granite tiles and add a wood edge or something simular...

thanks in advance...

slab granite and such falls under the heading of fabrication and requires a whole different set of tools and experience, personally i would opt for the granite tile and wood trim:cool:
